I just discovered the Arce/Meneghello Duo on YouTube. Nor did I know that Tórroba wrote songs.
Just discovered “The Hand of Guido,” a CD company that has put out a number of interesting voice/string recordings: http://www.lamadeguido.com/nov_.html

The composer’s Description:
LIRIKE is a song composed on texts by three women poets of the sixteenth century: Laura Terracina, Isabella Di Morra, Laura Battiferri. The writing blends the ancient with other gestures that look markedly more contemporary, intersecting the voice that sung and recited, in order to offer a listening mood music from the intimate character and full of charm.

I just discovered this wonderful young singer/guitarist on You Tube.
JONATHAN KULP HAS WRITTEN THREE SONG CYCLES FOR GUITAR
From his website he says: “The song cycle; Canciones para niños was written over a span of several years, ending with the lullabye “Nana” in 2000, which was inspired by the birth of my mentor Mario Abril’s grandson Alex. Selections from the cycle have been performed and recorded beautifully by Matthew Hinsley on his CD Passions Move (2002). The recordings featured here are by two excellent artists in Buenos Aires, Rosana Risé and Sergio Moldavsky, both of whom are on the faculty of the Conservatorio Superior de Música ‘Manuel de Falla.’ This recording was made in November 2004 in Buenos Aires and is featured on the cd Cantabile en Cuerdas (2006).”

The Great Deep: songs of transition by Frank Wallace
Nancy Knowles, mezzo-soprano, poet
Frank Wallace, ten-string guitar by Stephan Connor
Release date 1/11/11
Special thanks to backers and friends at www.kickstarter.com for making this CD possible.
Duo LiveOak’s new CD, The Great Deep, showcases the 10-string classical guitar and its potential both in ensemble with the voice and as a solo instrument. Wallace’s rich contrapuntal compositions delight in this new palette combining his wizardry on the guitar and Knowles’ sensual, soaring mezzo-soprano voice.
From Virginia, Tim and Judy Olbrych’s first release as a duo offers a powerful program of music by North, South, and Central American composers for soprano and Classical guitar. The selections include elegant arrangements of traditional folksongs, haunting melodies with elements of folk and jazz, and traditional South American selections for solo guitar.

Reading out loud, eating choclolate with port wine and searching out Tiffany windows keep my friends Chelsea Camille and David Isaacs going on tour. We had some great discussions about being married couples that pursue a joint career as a voice and guitar duo the past two days. They are playing the last concert on their east coast tour today:
